How to Add Line Items

The Line Items section allows you to specify the individual products, services, or charges that make up an invoice. Adding line items is essential for creating detailed, transparent invoices that clearly communicate what customers are being billed for and at what quantities and prices.

Each line item can include a description, quantity, unit price, and applicable taxes. Exacc automatically calculates line totals by multiplying quantity by unit price, and aggregates all line items to produce invoice subtotals and grand totals including GST. You can add unlimited line items to each invoice, allowing for comprehensive billing of complex projects or multiple products.

The system supports flexible line item management including reordering items, duplicating similar entries, and applying item-specific discounts or tax rates. You can select from pre-configured product catalogues for consistency, or create custom line items for unique services. Line items can include detailed descriptions, item codes, and units of measure to ensure clarity.
