Open Books › Bank Feeds and look at Last update for the account. The most common cause is that your consent has ended: it lasts a year, Exacc does not remind you, and the feed simply stops. Connect the bank again with Connect New Account. Until the feed works, import a CSV file from your bank.
1. Check the last update
Open Books › Bank Feeds. Each connected account shows its Last update and who linked it. Exacc fetches new transactions once a day, so yesterday's date is normal; transactions your bank still shows as pending arrive once they clear.
2. Is the account linked to your chart of accounts?
Only accounts linked with Link to Chart of Accounts appear in Process feeds. If the account is connected but you cannot see its transactions there, link it first.
3. Was the feed deactivated?
Deactivate stops a feed. To turn it back on, the person who made the connection clicks Connect on that account; nobody else can.
4. Reconnect after the consent ends
When you connect a bank, you give consent through Basiq for a year; Basiq's page shows the end date. When it ends, the feed stops and Exacc does not warn you. Click Connect New Account, choose your bank and give consent again, the same way as the first time (see Connect your bank).
Afterwards check that each account is linked to your chart of accounts. If any transactions then appear twice in Process feeds, disregard the duplicate.
Your bank asks for a one-time code
Banks that ask for a one-time code (sent by SMS or an app) each time you log in cannot be connected through Exacc yet. If your bank started doing this, the feed cannot be renewed. Import your transactions from a CSV file instead (see Import bank transactions from a CSV file).
Your bank is not available
Banks under maintenance show Currently unavailable when you search for them. Try again later.
Still stuck?
Contact Exacc support by live chat on the website, by email to [email protected], or with the contact form (exacc.au/contact/). Tell us the business file, the bank and account name (not the full account number), and the Last update date. Never send your internet banking password: Exacc never needs it.
