The Exacc app for iPhone and Android covers everyday invoicing: create, post and email invoices and quotes, create credit notes, record a payment on an invoice, and send statements to debtors. Sign in with your Exacc email, password and authenticator code, then pick a business file.

Before you start

  • An Exacc account (see Create your Exacc account) with access to a business file.

1. Sign in

Install the Exacc app on your iPhone or Android phone. Enter your Email and Password and tap Continue, then the 6-digit code from your authenticator app (or Send 2FA Code via SMS) and Verify.

2. Pick a business file

Tap the business file in Business Files; star it to keep it at the top. The app opens the last file you used next time.

3. Invoices tab

The Invoices tab lists invoices and credit notes, newest first. Filter by customer, date, Status, Document Type (switch to Quotes here), sales person or minimum amount; search by number.

Tap an item for Open, Go to Contact, Create Credit Note, Download PDF or Email to Client.

4. Create an invoice or quote

Tap the create button and choose New Invoice or New Quote. Pick the customer and date, tap Add Line for each line, tap the total to set Payment Terms, and check Sales Person under Additional details. Tap Save & Post (invoice) or Finalise (quote).

If the app says "Please complete all required invoice details", open Additional details: the Sales Person is probably empty.

5. Send, download, get paid

On an invoice: E-mail sends it straight away, Download lets you choose a PDF template, and Payment records a payment (Amount Paid, Payment Date, Payment Method, Save Payment). More has Edit, Clone, Files, Activities, Payment History and Delete.

On a quote: change its Status, E-mail it, or More › Convert to Invoice.

6. Chase debtors

Tap Debtors on the Invoices tab to see who owes you. Send Reminders emails statements to overdue customers or ones you select; tap a customer to see their ageing and Send Statement.

Use app.exacc.au for these:

  • payments across several invoices, payment plans and payment history of credit notes;
  • recurring invoices, invoice templates, invoice from timesheets;
  • bills, banking, payroll and reports;
  • creating business files.
