St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA work the same way, and differently from Westpac: there is no online set-up. The organisation nominates its representatives on a paper Open Banking data sharing Authority lodged at a branch. Each representative then connects in Exacc as in Connect your bank (bank feeds), with their own Internet Banking customer access number (CAN) and Secure Code.
Before you start
- The organisation is registered for Internet Banking or Business Banking Online (BBO).
- Each Nominated Representative is 18 or older, fully identified by the bank and individually registered for Internet Banking with their own CAN. A BBO login alone does not work. They do not need to be a signatory.
- The person who connects in Exacc must be the one the bank lets share the data. They need their own Exacc login with access to the business file and an Australian mobile number in their Exacc profile (in the form +614…).
1. Complete the Open Banking data sharing Authority
Use your bank's form (St.George form WBCOBDSA_STG 0825; Bank of Melbourne and BankSA have equivalent forms, linked below). Section 1: the organisation's name, CAN or CIS key and registered address. Section 2: tick Nominate. Section 3: each representative's name, CAN, date of birth, email, mobile and address. Section 4: each representative signs.
The organisation's Executive Officers / Office Holders (Director, Company Secretary, Trustee, Partner or Sole Trader) sign Section 7. There is no limit on the number of representatives.
2. Drop the form at a branch
Branch staff verify the signatures and process the form. The bank states no processing time. Once it is done, a representative can share all of the organisation's solely-owned Open Banking accounts, open or closed, whatever their usual access.
3. Then connect in Exacc
Follow Connect your bank (bank feeds): in the business file open Books › Bank Feeds, click Connect a Bank (Connect New Account once the file has connected accounts), search for St. George, Bank of Melbourne or BankSA (Basiq lists it as "St. George Bank (a subsidiary of Westpac)", "Bank of Melbourne (a subsidiary of Westpac)" and "BankSA (a subsidiary of Westpac)") and click Approve on Basiq's page.
At the bank, authorise with your own CAN and a one-time password through Secure Code.
Sole traders
Sole traders are grouped with individuals and share directly with their own CAN and Secure Code; no Authority form is needed.
See or stop sharing, or remove a representative
All representatives see the same Organisation consent dashboard in Internet Banking, and any of them can revoke any consent.
To remove a representative, lodge the same form marked Revoke (Section 5). Existing consents continue unless all representatives are removed, at which point sharing stops.
Do not use the Westpac steps
Although these brands belong to the Westpac Group, Westpac's online Features and approvals set-up does not apply to them.

- ANZ
- Bank of Queensland (BOQ)
