For accounts in My AMP, AMP Bank appoints a business's CDR nominated representatives by paper form: the Open Banking data sharing authority, mailed or emailed to AMP Bank. The representative then connects AMP Bank in Exacc as in Connect your bank (bank feeds) with their My AMP username. AMP Bank GO business accounts work differently (see below).
Before you start
- Each representative must have online access to the organisation's account in My AMP. If they do not, complete AMP's Third Party Access form for each of them first, with the identification it asks for. Not sure? Call AMP on 13 30 30.
- Directors (or partners) can appoint themselves and/or others. You can appoint more than one representative.
- The person who connects in Exacc must be the one the bank lets share the data. They need their own Exacc login with access to the business file and an Australian mobile number in their Exacc profile (in the form +614…).
1. Complete the Open Banking data sharing authority
Give the organisation's full name and account numbers and choose to appoint a CDR Nominated Representative. The form is signed by Authorised Signatory 1 and Authorised Signatory 2 for the organisation (section 7), and by the representative (section 8). For an account held jointly with another company or corporate trustee, that organisation's signatories also complete section 7.1.
2. Send it to AMP Bank
Email it to [email protected], or mail it (no stamp needed) to AMP Bank, Reply Paid 79702, PARRAMATTA NSW 2124. AMP states no processing time.
3. Then connect in Exacc
Follow Connect your bank (bank feeds): in the business file open Books › Bank Feeds, click Connect a Bank (Connect New Account once the file has connected accounts), search for AMP (Basiq lists it as "AMP Bank Ltd") and click Approve on Basiq's page.
At AMP, enter your My AMP username (AMP does not ask for your password); AMP sends a one-time code to the mobile in My AMP. Choose the accounts and confirm.
See or stop sharing at AMP
In My AMP, select Manage data sharing under your profile at the top left, select the Active consent and select Stop sharing. Directors or partners who are not representatives can see the arrangements but cannot change them.
To remove a representative, send the same form choosing to remove them. AMP says data sharing stops when all nominated representatives have been removed.
AMP Bank GO business accounts
AMP Bank GO (Everyday Business, Business Save, Business Term Deposits) says only that "currently only directors can appoint themselves"; it does not publish how. Ask AMP Bank GO on 1800 950 105. To stop sharing in the AMP Bank GO app: tap your profile icon (top right), then Open banking data sharing.
